Welcome to the Cathy Turner Gallery. A native of Michigan, Cathy moved with her family to South Carolina in 1989. She is married to Richard Turner and between them they have five children and eight grandchildren.
Living on the marsh in Pawleys Island inspired a love of the low country landscape, the ocean, and the abundant and beautiful marsh birds.

A favorite subject is the Grayman of Pawleys Island. Many locals have reported seeing the “ghost” before a hurricane and frequently asked for a commissioned painting as a good luck charm for their beach homes. A friend once said paint the Grayman and that first painting was donated and auctioned off at The American Cancer Society Golf Tournament at the old Seagull Golf Course, thus starting a series of original works, no two faces are alike.

From 4 inch miniatures of Carolina songbirds to the White tigers at Busch Gardens, Florida , Cathy enjoys painting a wide range of wildlife and nature settings.
